Thank you for your interest in my published research. You will find links here to most of my refereed work and select unrefereed contributions, including journalism. Much of my technical work has focused on developing spatial models of the Southern California and national economies in which transportation networks and their level of service are explicit; and exercising these models to better understand the magnitudes and distributions of costs and benefits associated with unexpected events and policy interventions.
The best elements of this work have been conducted collaboratively with my USC faculty research partners, Prof. Emeritus Peter Gordon and Prof. Harry W. Richardson, along with our former doctoral students, some of whom include Prof. JiYoung Park , Prof. Bumsoo Lee , Prof. Qisheng Pan , Prof. Yueyue Fan ; and many other advanced graduate student investigators, a number of whom are currently technical leaders with the Southern California Association of Governments, the Los Angeles region’s six-county Metropolitan Planning Organization.
